We have just returned from the most amazing trip to EBC and can highly recommend Sherpa Expedition and Trekking. Ram couldn’t have been more helpful with the organisation of the trip and Lhakpa, our guide and his team of porters, were the most friendly, helpful, professional, caring, funny team you could possibly wish to meet – we can only thank then so much for making this trip so special! From start to finish we felt we were in expert hands and the equipment provided (sleeping bags and down jackets) were of the highest quality and kept us super warm. The trip in our opinion is very challenging both mentally and physically due to the altitude and cold but it was a life enhancing experience which we are both so delighted to have completed. We were blessed with the most stunning weather, blue skies every day apart from the trek back from EBC where it snowed!!! The scenery is absolutely breath-taking and will be engrained on our memory forever. The Nepalese people are friendly, humble and tremendously hardworking and to witness the porters carrying the most unbelievably heavy loads in such difficult terrain was truly inspiring. The trails vary from steep rugged, rocky paths to man-made steps and paving which give knees a serious workout. The terrain our guide rated as British flat (flat), Nepalese flat (very hilly) and Sherpa flat (steep uphill!!). We were amazed when we walked back from EBC to just see how many steep climbs we had negotiated on the way up!! The teahouses were chosen each day by our guide and they were all clean, welcoming, excellent food and chilly at nights. In summary if you are thinking of a trip to EBC just book it!!!! Ram and his amazing team will guide you through it! We hope to return and do another trek (when we have recovered!!!!!)
