We ensure all waste is responsibly handled, with biodegradable waste either burned or taken back to conservation centers. We encourage our guests to buy wood-fueled hot showers in lodges, minimizing impact on the environment.

We believe in giving back to the communities we visit. Sherpa Expedition and Trekking has been involved in a variety of initiatives, from helping build schools in remote mountain villages to providing support for widows, disabled individuals, and children of porters. Following the devastating earthquakes in Nepal in 2015, we launched the “Assistance Nepal” program with the aim to clean up the mountains and give back to local communities in need.
