We start this journey from the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, where you will receive a very warm welcome from our staff. Following a brief orientation, you’ll board a scenic flight to Pokhara, Nepal’s lakeside city. The following day, we set off on our trek, heading for Forest Camp . Pretty soon, we are amidst the lush green hills and tranquil woodland paths.
The path ascends gradually the rest of the way to Badal Danda, offering a grand repertoire of Himalayan vistas along with ever-shifting landscapes of rhododendron forests and cloud-haunted ridges. The next point of call is Mardi Himal High Camp, 3,580 meters, with an even more dramatic panorama. We rise early the next morning to push on to Mardi Himal Base Camp (4,500 meters), the high point of the trek. Here, you are treated to close-up views of Mardi Himal, as well as the majestic Annapurna range.
From here, we return to a tranquil Gurung village, Siding, giving you an authentic look at local mountain life after basking in the magic of the mountain itself. We then drive back to Pokhara, where you can unwind and make the most of the city’s lakeside beauty. We fly back to Kathmandu the next day, thus completing a memorable Himalayan odyssey. Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, a representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. After checking in, you’ll have time to relax and recover from your journey. If time permits, you can explore the bustling streets of Thamel, Kathmandu’s popular tourist district known for its restaurants, shops, and cultural sights. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.
After an early breakfast, you’ll take a scenic 25-minute flight to Pokhara, a beautiful lakeside city nestled beneath the Annapurna range. Upon arrival, you’ll drive for about 1.5 hours to Kande, the starting point of your trek. From Kande, the trail ascends through lush forests of oak, maple, and rhododendron to reach Forest Camp at 2,600 meters. This quiet and serene area offers a peaceful first night in the hills.
Today's trek continues upward through dense forests, gradually giving way to open ridges with spectacular views of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) and the surrounding peaks. After several hours of steady climbing, you’ll arrive at Badal Danda, meaning “Cloud Hill,” where you’ll witness breathtaking cloudscapes and mountain panoramas.
This is the most exciting and rewarding day of the trek. You’ll start early in the morning and ascend towards Mardi Himal High Camp, and from there, continue to Mardi Himal Base Camp. The trail becomes more rugged but offers astonishing close-up views of Machhapuchhre, Mardi Himal, and the Annapurna range. After spending time at the base camp taking photos and soaking in the views, you’ll descend back to Badal Danda for the night.
After breakfast, you’ll begin your descent through a different route that passes through Sidding, a quiet village surrounded by lush hills. From Sidding, a private jeep will take you back to Pokhara, where you’ll catch a return flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you'll be transferred to your hotel for your final evening in Nepal.

The following information will give you some idea about what you need to bring for the trek. It is important you do not forget the essential items, as this will determine your comfort and safety on the trek. Equally important is that you do not burden yourself with unnecessary equipment on the trek.
Toiletries (tissues, toilet paper, moisturizer, lip balm, sunscreen, sanitary pads, hand sanitizer, nail clippers, a small mirror, toothbrush, toothpaste, glasses, contacts, etc.)
This trek is tailored for first-time trekkers in high altitudes. Because the timeline is so compressed and rapid during the ascent to altitudes above 4,000 meters, it is not ideal for beginners. You will need to be physically fit and able to walk for 6-8 hours walking over rough ground.
Within days, you will have ascended to Mardi Himal Base Camp at 4,500m, when there is little or no time to acclimatise. The trail itself is not a technical one, but the high altitude does make the then it run more physically challenging, and visitors have to be careful about altitude sickness. Recognizing symptoms and hiking at a consistent pace is important.
The best seasons for this trek are spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November). During these months, skies are the clearest, daytime temperatures are agreeable, rhododendrons bloom in the spring, and the weather is generally stable. Trekking the in winter season is doable, albeit with snow and chill at higher elevations.
Weather in the Annapurna region can shift quickly, particularly at higher elevations above the tree line. The weather is something you cannot control, and it can be a bit drastic at times, with rain, wind, and cold suddenly appearing even in the highest trekking season. Be sure to pack good rain gear, warm clothing, and sun protection.
Along the trail, you’ll be sleeping in local traditional teahouses, where facilities are basic but cozy. Rooms tend to have twin beds and shared bathrooms. Meals are basic but satisfying, with favorites like dal bhat, noodles, soups, and Tibetan bread. It offers hot showers and a charging station at an additional fee.
Come equipped with good trekking boots, a down jacket, a sleeping bag (minimum three seasons), gloves, thermal underlayers, and a headlamp. Also, don’t forget a refillable water bottle or hydration pack. Hiking poles also aid in steep sections. Phone signal is patchy beyond Low Camp, and Wi-Fi is offered at some of the lodges for a fee. Access to power for charging devices is not always available, and may not be available at all stops, so bring a power bank.
