This day allows your body to adjust to the increasing altitude before continuing further.
Today, you’ll leave Namche and head towards Dole, located at 4,150 meters. The trail offers fantastic views of Ama Dablam and Mount Everest. The hike is steady with moderate ascents as you pass through Mong La. You'll cross several alpine meadows, and as you climb higher, you’ll notice the landscape changing to a more rugged terrain. Dole is a small village with a few lodges, and you’ll stay overnight here to rest and acclimatize.
The trek today is shorter but equally beautiful. From Dole, you’ll follow the trail along the Gokyo Valley, passing Lhabarma and Luza before reaching Machhermo at 4,470 meters.
