Our adventure starts with a 30-35 minute exhilarating flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, believed to be one of the most scenic air routes in the world. Starting from Lukla, the journey begins with an easy walk to Phakding and ascends quite strenuously to Namche Bazaar, the busy hub of the Sherpa capital. Arriving in Namche, you'll spend a welcome day acclimatizing in the light air of Namche Bazaar, and preparing for the trek ahead, hiking above the village to stretch your legs and take in the view of Everest, Nuptse, and Lhotse. It's a gradual trek up to Dingboche for the next two days, where you'll continue the process of acclimatization, hiking in the environs, or simply enjoying the views.
Rest Day at Pangboche N. Located above the Imja Khola River, the route passes through Rhododendron forest with high suspension bridges that connect the villages, before reaching Pangboche, home to the oldest monastery in the region. Another day of acclimatization and trekking brings you to the Ama Dablam Base Camp (4,600 meters) and a rewarding side trip with incredible vistas and more time to adjust to the altitude.
The walk leads you to Thukla, where you will need another acclimatization day to get your body ready for the higher elevations. These days are slower on purpose, to help your body acclimate to the elevation and prepare for the final push to the summit.
Next, you’ll hike to Lobuche High Camp (5,600 meters), a desolate landscape amidst glacier moraines and rocky paths. On summit day, climbers don gear like crampons, an ice axe, and ropes in the predawn hours. You will trek to the difficult climb towards the summit of Lobuche, from where you will be treated to a 360-degree view of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and numerous summits in all directions.
Then you’ll descend back to Thukla and onward to Pheriche. By making the return even more remarkable, and easy with a scenic helicopter flight that takes you back to Lukla, famously tagged with a final flight to Kathmandu and you have completed your wonderful journey.

Your adventure begins with a thrilling 35-minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, one of the most scenic and exhilarating air routes in the world. Upon arrival, you will start your trek to Phakding, passing through lush forests and the vibrant culture of the Khumbu region. You will stay overnight in Phakding to rest and acclimatize to the altitude.
Today, you will trek towards Namche Bazaar, the Sherpa capital and a bustling trading hub. The trail gradually ascends along the Dudh Koshi River and passes through beautiful forests and suspension bridges. Once you arrive in Namche Bazaar, you will be surrounded by views of towering peaks, including Mount Everest, and experience the vibrant atmosphere of this Sherpa town.
To help your body adjust to the high altitude, you'll take an acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar. You can go for a short hike to Everest View Hotel, where you’ll be treated to panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. Alternatively, explore the local area and visit the Khumjung Village or the Sherpa museum to learn more about the local culture and traditions.
Leaving Namche, today’s trek will take you through scenic rhododendron forests and across suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River. You’ll pass through Tengboche Monastery before continuing on to Pangboche, a small village known for its ancient monastery. From here, enjoy views of Everest, Lhotse, and the stunning Ama Dablam.
Today, you will spend an acclimatization day in Pangboche with a hike to Ama Dablam Base Camp. The hike will offer spectacular views of Ama Dablam, often considered one of the most beautiful peaks in the world. The altitude at the base camp will help you continue your acclimatization process while enjoying breathtaking vistas of the surrounding mountains.
Today’s trek takes you from Pangboche to Thukla, a small settlement on the way to Lobuche. The trail gradually ascends, offering stunning views of the surrounding peaks. You’ll cross through the Dudh Koshi Valley and pass by several memorials for fallen climbers. Thukla serves as a good place to rest and prepare for the higher altitudes ahead.
Thukla is an important stop for acclimatization before ascending further. On this day, you’ll take it easy, allowing your body to adjust to the altitude. You can explore the surrounding area, visit nearby memorials, or simply rest and prepare for the next stage of the trek.
The trek from Thukla to Lobuche High Camp takes you through rocky terrain and moraine fields, offering views of some of the region’s highest peaks. This is a more demanding stretch, and you’ll feel the altitude as you make your way to the high camp, where you’ll stay overnight in preparation for the summit push. Resting here ensures that your body is well-prepared for the technical climb to Lobuche Peak.
Summit day is the highlight of the adventure! You’ll begin the climb early in the morning, gearing up with crampons, an ice axe, and ropes for the technical ascent. The climb is challenging, but the rewards are immense. From the summit of Lobuche Peak, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and the surrounding Himalayan peaks. After reaching the summit, you’ll descend back to Thukla for a well-deserved rest.
Today marks the end of your trek. You’ll first trek down to Pheriche, where you’ll catch a scenic helicopter ride back to Lukla. From Lukla, you’ll take a flight back to Kathmandu, completing your 10-day Himalayan adventure. The helicopter ride offers a stunning aerial view of the region, giving you a chance to reflect on your journey and the amazing achievement of summiting Lobuche Peak.
You’ll carry your personal gear and share some group equipment, so pack light with layered, weather-appropriate clothing—avoid cotton and choose breathable, insulating fabrics.
